RESTORATION AND REBUILDING – This is a private corporation for the purpose of helping restore, re-establish or establish businesses and protect and or help business properties within the municipal boundaries of Chimney Rock Village through grants, partnerships or participation to restore business only in Chimney Rock Village.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – Projects will be created and developed through private partnerships with property owners, businesses and other invested entities that will provide a favorable business environment for the community, provide employment and will reestablish the vibrant central business district of the Village.
RETAIL MERCHANT GRANTS – Corporate Economic Development payments/grants will be made directly to the vendors or contractors involved in the project, not to the owners.

December 11, 2025 – DUKE ENERGY FOUNDATION DONATION
Duke Energy Foundation donated $25,000 to CREDIT as part of a boost to local economies. The Foundation grant, which was matched by Chimney Rock Economic Development & Investment Team (CREDIT), will allow businesses in the municipal limits to apply for additional assistance. Grants up to $5,000 are available to support, restore and retain small businesses. Funds must be paid directly to the supplier, vendor or contractor providing support to the business or business property. The project or purchase must be completed on or before March 25, 2026. The Chimney Rock Economic Development & Investment Team, Inc (501c3) is thankful to the following that generously contributed to the newly formed corporation during 2024 and 2025. The purpose is to assist businesses within the Village municipal limits in their efforts to restore their livelihoods and the life of the Village. A special thank you goes to The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, Fulton & Son’s (Fancy Gap Outfitters), Green River Foundation, Stephen and Laura Duncan, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cooper, Bill and Linda Newton, the Greek Orthodox Parrish of Asheville NC, The Raymond & Jane Cracchiolo Foundation and Mrs. Heidi Bell.
